Designs

We have several hundred designs in our possession. Click here to see our catalog.
We continue to add new designs to our collection that may not be shown here.

For example:

  • Flowers
  • Leaves
  • Vines
  • Animals
  • Butterflies
  • Hearts
  • Stars
  • Modern
  • Traditional
  • Feathers
  • Valor

We can order any other specific design and will charge you for ½ the purchase cost (the usual retail cost is $15).

You can choose a design for yourself or “if you’re undecided” we can choose for you. We will inquire about the recipient, and then study the quilt. We let it “speak” to us helping us to decide which design best fit the project.

Thread Colors

When choosing a color of thread you must decide if you want it to be highlighted or to blend in with the fabric! I have many colors of thread available for my clients. If there is a special request and I do not have the specific color, I will order it at no extra charge.

I will use one color for both the top and bobbin thread. If requested I will use a second color for the bottom.

Binding

Most quilters I know do not like to sew on the binding. I will begin the process and attach the binding by machine to the front of the quilt @ 10 cents per linear inch, and you can finish it by hand or machine as you prefer.

The Nitty Gritty

See the order form for the costs. We will give an estimate prior to quilting; it is subject to the condition of the quilt, wrinkles (not due to shipping), and loose threads.

Minimum charge for all quilts is $35 as each needs to be loaded, squared up on the frame, threading and tension set up, and design choices loaded and fitted.

A 50% deposit is due at the time of order. We accept cash (in person), checks made out to “Keeping You In Stitches”, or credit cards online. I will invoice you for the remainder of the charge, shipping cost, ironing if needed, new design or any extras that were requested.

If you have any questions please email us at: diane.kyis@gmail.com, or call (304) 264-9456. We will attempt to return your message within 24 hours.

We try our very best to complete your quilt in 2-3 weeks. We will notify you if that is not possible. If you need a rush order, please let us know ahead of time. If time permits we shall honor your request at an extra charge of $25.

Project Linus

A major charity in which we participate is Project Linus. Project Linus delivers blankets to children who have suffered from trauma or crisis. Among the organizations they support are:

  • The Child Advocacy Center
  • Children of Incarcerated Parents
  • Department of Human Services
  • Community Action
  • The Rescue Mission
  • Fire & Police Rescue
  • Hospital & Surgical Centers

Annually, Project Linus via Face Book solicits participants to construct a quilt where components of a pattern are released weekly. The participants are unaware of what the final quilt will look like. Subsequently those same participants can opt to participate in a contest where they seek donors to purchase votes on the quilts they have completed. Quilting related prizes are rewarded to participants that win 1st through 4th place. Diane has won 4th place in 2018 and 3rd place in 2019!  All moneys collected by Project Linus go to support their cause.
